<p>i've been seriously considered a master of social science(mssc) from maxwell but wasn't sure if the degree itself is as well regarded as other programs offer by the school. i know maxwell is an outstanding school for public policy/ir but for a master degree in social science? it's a limited residency program with most courses completed through distance learning. any thoughts?</p>

<p>I’m an undergraduate, so I don’t know much about masters programs. But Maxwell is the number one school for citizenship and public policy, beating Harvard. I would think that if you’re going into those types of careers, a Maxwell degree would be a great plus. But if you intend to go a different route with your degree in social science, consider whether or not potential employers would be familiar with Maxwell’s prestige.</p>
