Is a later STAR date gonna cause me to get bad classes?

I am just now registering for a STAR date, which means im getting a somewhat later one. For FYE is this going to affect my class choices? Basically am I going to get stuck with early morning, crappy classes? Or does it not affect that?

No, there is no disadvantage of going to a later STAR session. You basically are registering with your advisor for your intended classes and then a computer program puts it all together after STAR is over with the days/times. You also have the ability to change stuff around before classes start as well. Our D’s experience with STAR and course registration was very smooth and she had a very late STAR date.

My D was in the same position and her schedule worked out fine. Purdue says:

“Once STAR concludes in mid-July and after placement test results and advanced placement (AP) credits post, Purdue will create course schedules for all STAR and VSTAR participants to meet the greatest possible number of student priorities. ”
