Is a minor worth it in Industrial Engineering?

I’m going to a good IE school. I’ll be a junior next semester, so not a whole lot of time with summer school. I was wondering if a minor would be worth it? I was thinking mechanical or aerospace? Mechanical makes sense to me, but I’d like to follow a professor (who also said he might be able to help me out) and work at an aerospace company. But I know things change too…

Have you done any internships? That would be a better use of your time than a minor or summer school.

Agree with @boneh3ad . My IE son thought about doing a minor . In his case, it was CS. But, he would have had to go to summer school to keep on track to graduate in four years You can probably take a couple of courses as electives that interest you without worrying about meeting the requirements for a minor. Internships/ working during the summer will be beneficial to finding employment. There are plenty of opportunities out there for IE graduates.

@boneh3ad No, I have not. Due to some very peculiar medical reasons, I need to wait till next summer.

Thank you guys!
