I am president of two clubs, officer of another 2, and am pretty involved on those. I just don't have a sport and aren't really interested in it. Should I join my tennis team just for the heck of it. Im terrible so I would probably be in the weakest part of the JV team. Would it in anyway help me if i did join, or more importantly, hurt me if I didnt join.

School sports are boring, there are a lot more exciting sports that aren’t connected to your school, so you could look into those.

No. Why on Earth would a college care about you doing some random sport that everybody else and their dog already does? Extracurriculars are supposed to be about showing passion in your areas of interest, not checking off boxes in certain categories to make sure you have everything.

No. The worst thing you could possibly do is just join a team “for the heck of it.” For one, colleges will see right through that. Two, your new teammates would be counting on your to be as committed to the team as they are which clearly you would not be. Just stick to what you enjoy.

Sports only help if you eventually end up on Varsity. (like Junior or Senior year). If you’re on JV for 4 years, it looks like any other EC

Sports are not neccessary. You should only play a sport if you like it. If not, don’t do it. I personally LOVEEEE sports. Hence, my username. But hey, if you are really good at a certain sport, you could maybe try for the team.
