Is Accounting/MIS a good combination?

I'm about to start on my concentration classes starting my junior year and I have decided to go for a double concentration in MIS and accounting. I have an interest in both areas and I think it will make me more marketable and give me an advantage in the job market. I could also look into becoming an IT auditor.

Now to pull this off, I will be taking between 18-20 credit hours a semester my junior and senior years. Do you guys think it is possible and do you believe it will be worth the extra work?

If you can handle the workload. It won't be easy. This would certainly give you more career options though.

18-20 hours is my typical workload in engineering. I would advise against it if you plan on working junior/senior year. However, it is all up to you. If you feel you are willing and able to handle the course work, do it. I think IT is a great second degree to have.
