ok, so im a junior gonna be taking a accuplacer placement test(early college program) so I don't have to take precal.
I know precal preety well, in fact, I actually know lot of calculus already.

im preety good at math, so when I take tests, if there is something I don't know, if I spend enough time with the question and its relation to other ideas, I normally figure things out

but im really scared that it is timed, if it is, I will need to prepare with that in mind. so, my question is, is the accuplacer test timed or can you work and take as long as you like. if someone has taken the math test before, please reply. thanks, have a nice day.

also, is calculator allowed?

“The multiple choice ACCUPLACER tests are untimed. The WritePlacer® test may be timed or untimed depending on your institution’s rules and regulations”

I was allowed a calculator when I took it so I assume it is standard. The test really isn’t that bad but you should have a very solid algebra II/precalc foundation to do well.

When I took it, I had to take two different math exams. The first is short and absurdly easy. It tests basic algebra knowledge. The second one I took covered more advanced topics and was significantly longer.

Also, I’m not sure if this applies to everywhere or just where I took it, but in my experience you were not allowed to retake the math if you didn’t get the score you wanted.

Good luck.
