<p>Is cornell alternative option a good choice? Does that increase my chances(due to the dual option), or decrease my chances (due to an insufficient passion for both)?</p>

<p>its unlikely to make a difference and is probably a waste of your time</p>
<p>But if you have an essay to another school and it fits with the alternate essay prompt, then you might as well go for it…</p>
<p>I thought it would increase your chance because you’re applying to 2 things…</p>
<p>your not applying to two things, your applying to one thing with maybe a 1%(probably closer to .1 though its impossible to know) chance of your application being looked at by a second thing if you don’t get into the first thing</p>
<p>1% chance is better than nothing… you could always reuse your essays anyways</p>
