My APUSH teacher this year isn’t so great, and I need to self study for the AP test for US History. Is it possible that if I memorize the 2015 AMSCO book thoroughly, I will get a 5? I really need a 5, so is the book enough? If not, what else should I do?
I got a 5 last year. AMSCO is pretty thorough, but the multiple choice questions were never really that great (for the AP test or even my teacher’s tests). I used the 5 Steps to a Five book. It has adapted the best to the new APUSH format, IMO. Using this book made me extremely confident for the multiple choice. I did not use it much for the essays, but I did skim and it seemed helpful in that area as well. If you are considering buying another book, I strongly suggest that one. Good luck!
