Is an education major a stretch if I eventually want to become a lawyer?

I currently plan on pursuing an education major as I could really see myself becoming a teacher--however, I'm also becoming more interested in law. Many schools I'm applying to don't offer pre-law as an undergraduate major so I was wondering if getting an Education B.A would be advantageous/detrimental to me if I went onto law school after graduation?

Also, what other undergraduate majors could I pursue if I wanted to become a lawyer?

They like diversity, so if anything, maybe it would help you. A pre-law degree is useless and you should really NEVER get one.

what's a "pre-law" degree? are there even such things? by pre-law, do you mean majors that is good for law school, like english, philosophy, etc.? or is there really a major called "pre-law" itself?

I believe it's more of a program of study where you major in one of those previously mentioned (philosophy, history, political science, etc.), and then surround it with courses from other disciplines to maximize your preparation for law.
