Is anybody finding the second edition blue book very difficult?

Yeah, I'm kinda worried right now. I was wondering if anybody's agreeing with me here. It's actually much harder than the actual exams taken.

Is it me or has collegeboard started to make every SATs difficult from now on since alot of people are tagging mid 1800s or over 1900s? Cause if this is true, then I could be screwed on my third time. = /

CR: 530
Math: 590
W: 580
O: 1120/1600 - 1700/2400

Was from my first exam in the book.

The first three exams are previously-administered exams. That test was one of the '05 tests.

Why do they look so much harder than the current ones?

I thought the second practice test was harder than the first, but other than that, it’s fine.

TC: Do you have a prep book from another company such as Barron’s? College Board’s books are only good for practice questions.

I just took the second test today.
Math - 780
CR - 690
Writing - 740

I thought the CR was hard.

The first exam in the BB2 is more difficult than the others.

For the second Blue Book, first practice exam, on page 398 # 10, can anybody tell me why the answer is C : 130 degrees?

HopefulEagle: #10 is a relatively straightforward and simple problem: add up all the angles given (110, 30, 70, and the right angle [90 degrees]) which gives you 300 degrees. Then you know that the angle measure not given is 60 degrees (because an entire circle would be 360 degrees, so 360-300=60). Then you notice that the degree measure that you have to find (x) is that missing angle and is also part of the 70 degrees, so you add 60 to 70 and get x=130.

So far I’m only finding the essay prompts really difficult for me to relate to, which makes my timed writing pretty frustrating.

I took Test #1 a few weeks back and scored 2290 (800M 800CR 690W) and just took Test #2 today and scored 2350 (800M 800CR 750W). I’ve given myself a 9 on both essays because I feel that both are inadequate and its been pretty frustrating to write the essays so far.

Does anyone have any useful tips for the essay portion?
