Is anyone else excited for Prom

Up until about a month ago, I never thought I would go to Prom. But I guess something changed my mind. Were going with a pretty big group, and then going to a hotel party after, and possibly seeing Spiderman 3 if the local theatre is going to stay open that late (they did for SM2).

hotel party WOO

im not going to prom

Really excited, our prom is going to be held on a yacht of some sort. Cost me too much money though. ]=

our prom is free, so that's why everyone this year is going

I'm a tad nervous about Jr. Prom because I am going with this girl who I'm kind of awkward around lately. But it should be fun.

I was excited until some people in my group unilaterally decided to rent a limo. It's going to be fun chasing them down and passing them in a tux on my bike though. Hopefully I'll get to laugh at some drunk people.

yeah, i'm really excited for prom. ours is may 18. the tickets were very expensive costing $80 the first day and then going up each day, but my date bought them. i'm going with a guy who asked me really early, like 4 weeks ago....he's not my dream date, but i'm just happy someone asked me.

Dude yeah, I'm excited. Alan's going to DANCE. This is something that I would pay nearly anything to see, because Alan is a total spaz (and not in a cool way; in the picking-up-chairs-and-chasing-people-while-screaming-curses way). Plus, my friend Julia's going in a tux and fedora, and I'm going in a plaid skirt with chains and zippers, and probably my black boots. It shall be great fun!

No. I'm dreading it.

I've never liked dances. It makes me feel like a complete loser. I can't dance. I just kinda...yeah. It sucks.

I've got a dress. Shoes. Someone to do my hair. Makeup. Tickets.

In the end, I just want to stay home and watch TV.

to me, the actual dance at prom was a very small part of it. being at a party with all your friends for what could be the last time is what made it memorable.

We have 3 proms. It's kind of funny. I don't gotta worry til next year about it though.

No. Here's why:

Late AP Exam the next week.

Costs money I would rather spend on a ps2 game.

Is too...LEHBERAL!!!!!

Sure. It's just one of those things and will definitely be fun :)

lovely dress

free tickets

tradition

friends

afterparty if my parents will allow me

no date

bad music

don't like dancing

"friends"

might not be allowed to afterparty

^
What would happen if you were to disobey your parents?

I'm just asking, because I don't think my parents want me to go to any after parties, but I figure, hey, when are we going to get a chance to do something like this again. It's going to be fun.

easier to ask for forgiveness, than permission

My parents thought they were being generous when they agreed to pay one-third of our family contribution ($7,000 of $22,000). I'll already graduate from college close to $60,000 in debt; I don't want to risk adding to that by falling out of favor with them.

I have partied before without their knowledge, as much as I hate to lie, but prom night would require such elaborate deception that I'm not sure I'm up for it. "I'm sleeping over at _____'s" only works so many times.

"I'm sleeping over at _____'s" only works so many times.

Yeah you're telling me. It only worked like once with me.

Its Tomorrow. Going with my amazing girlfriend. Stoked.

Really, REALLY, stoked.

And this is coming from a guy.
