people from other parts of the word looking down on Americans as idiots, thinking we are all arrogant *****, then turning around and coming to college here because we have the BEST academic institutions?

With respect given to the Cambridges, Oxfords, etc.

People from other countries should know that not all of us are like what is portrayed on TV.

It gets pretty annoying. The average person that I know is neither stupid nor fat nor lazy. Unfortunately, the minority of loudmouthed tourists and hateful bigots who grab media attention are all the outside world sees of us.

^ is it me or did you just answer your own ***ing question? *gasp

i dont think the world’s perception of us is really that bad. When I moved over to England for 6 months I was afraid that same thing would happen and they would all judge me but at my school they actually LOVE the U.S. They think it, and its people, are amazing.

Exactly how can one be tired of someones’ opinion? He may possibly have a psychological problem and I can refer to an excellent psychologist should it be necessary.

Should it want to be avoided, in the future, I would suggest the use of ignorance to repel such psychological attacks upon your thinking sphere.

^ Although I see no need to visit one, I will gladly take the recommendation should, in case, I or a friend need one in the nearby future. Thank you.
