Is AP Chemistry necessary for an 800 on the Chemistry Subject Test?

Hey guys! Recently, I just finished my sophomore year, in which I took chemistry honors at a competitive public high school. I'm aiming for an 800 coming this October, and am wondering if there is anything that is covered in the AP Chemistry curriculum that would be tested on the Subject Test. If there are any, would you guys be as kind as to tell me?

Thanks!

Well, this all depends on what exactly your Honors curriculum covers.

How does it compare to: [AP: Chemistry](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools)

Also, the AP Curriculum covers way more material than the Subject Test requires. You should take a look at what the Subject covers and study those sections in-depth.

Purchase the Barrons SAT Chemistry book to brush up on those sections that you haven’t learned.

After a quick skim, the only things I don’t recognize are Raolt’s Law (though, we did do colligative properties) and Faraday’s Law (we also did Electrolysis and Galvanic Cell). Oh yeah, Nernst’s Equation also does not sound familiar.

Are those sections/topics covered on the test?

No, no, and no.

Honors should be sufficient, but a second year of AP definitely helps.
