Like I heard they always over prepare you for the test, so is it good for all tests?

I can’t speak specifically for chemistry since I don’t have my score yet, but I used a Barron’s book for it and the Chemistry SAT II was much easier by comparison.

The book for Biology was excellent though I only got around 690s on their practice tests, going through the book got me a 770 on the real thing (and if I had gone through it more thoroughly, I could have possibly done better.)

OH! Thanks oxide!

Also do you think the official study guide is worth getting?

Definitely the best for World History, SAT II or AP version.

Their math II is great, for the tests at least.
The problem with math II is questions 40-50 ish those are the ones that trip people up, not the first 40. In Barrons most of their questions are like 30-50 level so it helps a lot for someone who is looking for that perfect score, so I recommend Barrons math II to anyone who is serious about a 750+.

i second the barrons for bio. i haven’t gotten my scores back yet, but in the practice tests i got 750+ every time. the content is nicely laid out too. Lots of practice questions as well.
Be careful of typos though. Barrons publishing company is notorious for them.

Thanks guys but what do you think about the official study book? Is it worth the buy?

Hi! I believe the main consensus is that the official study guide book is much easier then the real thing. I used Barron’s for Math2 and felt very confident after the test was over, although I haven’t gotten my scores back yet.

yup, i used barrons for world history and thought the practice tests were crazy, but the actual test was much easier.

What do people have to say about the Barron’s Physics book?

no for physics, especially if it wont be just review. They dont explain well on some things, while other sections are filled with superfluous information. If you’ve taken AP Physics B or C it may help you clean out some cobwebs, but if you took regular physics and, for example, didnt learn about magnetism in full depth, you might have trouble like i did
