Is biochemistry considered a life science at UCLA?

According to this http://lifesciences.ucla.edu/undergraduate biochem isnt listed as a Life Science. The reason I am asking is because I am looking to change majors into biochem once I transfer to UCLA.

I know transfers are strictly prohibited to change majors into any life science.

“Your admission to UCLA is subject to cancellation if the information you submitted on your application and/or by written or verbal communication with our office does not match official documentation. Additionally, you were admitted to UCLA according to the major you indicated on your application. It is unlikely that you will be approved to change majors after transfer. (Note: Business Economics, Economics, all Life Sciences, Psychology, and Sociology specifically prohibit changing into their departments after transfer.)”

So would I be able to switch into biochem since it isn’t listed as a life science?

Biochemistry is in the Chemistry department, which is separate from the LS department. So I guess in that literal sense, biochemistry is not considered a life science.
