Is Boyce Thompson Institute Summer Program at Cornell Selective?

Hi,

I’m planning on applying to Boyce Thompson Insitute at Cornell for the summer of 2018. For those who have attended, or know about it, is this summer internship selective at all? I worry that I might not be able to get in. Compared to other programs across the nation, how prestigious is it?
