is business economics major good for my career?

hi, I just got accepted in UC Santa Barbara pre-business economics major. I also got accepted in SDSU Business Administration major. Right now I am leaning towards UC Santa Barbara but I'm not sure if biz econ is really suitable for my goals. My goal is to have my own business and invest in the market.

I guess what I am asking is will having a business economics degree prepare me for enterpreneurship and investing in stock markets. I do not really want to undergo graduate school either. Can anybody give there opinions please!

It will teach you accounting, finance, econometrics, and all sorts of fun things that will get you primed for actually understanding how markets and money work. So yes, it's a good major.

I must stress, however, that the education at the graduate level will help you a great deal. It's amazing how much more I understand econ and quantitative analysis thanks to my first year of graduate school.
