Is Cal Poly Pomona still good for Electrical Engineering these days?

Cal Poly SLO is no doubt better, but it’s too far from where I live and therefore not in my list of possible colleges. I can’t decide whether CPP or UCLA, UCSD is better for EE. My main goal is to easily find a good job after graduating or even before graduating, and I’m not sure which one of those best fits the picture. I like CPP because of their learn-by-doing philosophy and that their program prepares you for the actual job, but again, I don’t know if it’s still worth its greatness nowadays. I heard from somewhere that they had budget cuts and their programs have been going downhill since then…?

You are talking about some very selective schools. Step one, get into a couple schools. Step two pick between this that admit you…

CPP is s good school and has a strong reputation among employers, especially for STEM jobs. Is it “still worth its greatness nowadays?” I’d say it’s reputation is on the rise, as is its selectivity.

Do you think you can get in?

Agree with @NCalRent. Wait until you get an acceptance before making a decision. CPP has been already notifying High Stat applicants so if you are a competitive applicant for CPP/UCLA and UCSD, you should be hearing soon.
