Is College 10 right for me???

Ok, I know that there are a lot of posts like this going around, but I need all the help that I can get.

Let me describe myself... Im a white girl. I came from a really hard core study school. (And I would like to avoid a collge like that.) I grew up in the suburbs where there was absolutely NOTHING to do. We are not even allowed to have clubs or bars, and the only thing to do is watch a movie or go to the mall. Boaring. So I basically want to do a 180. Lol

I was thinking of going to Collge 10, but Im not really sure. Can you guys tell me what are the stereotypes?? I hear that there are a lot of asians. I lived in Irvine ALL my life, and Im not trying to be mean, but I REALLY need a change of environment. All of the friends I have so far are asian so I want to change it up a bit. But, that's not a huge issue. Anyway my likes and dislikes are...

Likes:
-Interested in Politics (and I want to major in that)
-I love going out at night to just hang out and stuff
-Going to the beach
-I listen to rock and rap such as Rage Against the Machine and Dr. Dre.
-Being around intellectual people, but not nerdy.
-Staying in and watching movies

Dislikes:
-Preppy. Actually, Im okay with preppy people, as long as their not the spoiled rich b***h type.
-Super nerdy people. Smart is fine, just not the type who study none stop.

I dont have a lot of dislikes since Im not TOO picky. Hahaha. Im okay with people who party since I do so occasionally. But Im definetly not hard core. Stoners are fine. I dont do anything like that, but I dont mind if my friends or the people around me do so. So... any advice?? If not College 10, then which one?? Whats best for politics?

I think 9 or 10 would be pretty good for you. I think a lot of people like these, so there will be a wide range of people. There will be certainly some Asians, some geeks, some preps, but I think, especially at either of these, there will a wide range of people. But yeah, I think you'd be happy at 9, 10 or maybe Cowell. Check that one out too.

P.S. Don't choose a college based on your major, it really doesn't matter.

college 9/10 has the most asians of all colleges, 20%. doubt its much compared to irvine.

Hey sweet. You sound like me. I put down college 9 + 10 as my first choices because I am interested in politics, want to be around intellectual people who are not too nerdy, enjoy having quiet time to study/watch movies/computer, and would like to go out now and then to the beach and downtown Santa Cruz. I too am white and go to a school with a ton of asians as well. I think you will fit well in this envrionment.

Only 20%? Ok, that's not really much compared to Irvine. Lol. Here it's like 60%. But I honestly expected most to be in Crown. Anyway, thanks everyone!

lol, i think we're much alike, Trumpet and sweets. i never knew that there are so many schools with lots of Asians. I am asian, and i live in Temple City (next to Pasadena). and all the cities around me have lots of Asians. In my school, it's like 70% asians, so i want to change my environment. I put Cowell as my top choice because i heard lots of good stuff about it. People say College 9/10 doesn't have a community feel to it.

what's this community feel?

i heard people on this forum say that most students at C 9/10 just do their own stuff and doesn't interact with each other much.
