Is coming home for 4 nights too long?

Sorry, I know this is a weird question to ask and that no one can really answer it for me, but a few opinions would be nice.

I'm in my second year of school, 6 hours from home. I don't have class Mondays or Fridays, and since I never skip class, I feel like it'll be okay if I miss class Thursday and go home Thursday to Monday. I have other friends coming home who I miss, missing one weekend at school won't kill my social life, and I might as well be home as long as possible since it'll be a 12 hour bus ride round trip. And this is the only time I'll be home between late August and Thanksgiving.

At the same time, I almost feel bad about leaving school for 4 nights. As if it's irresponsible, or means that I'm not really happy here or something...I don't know, what do you think?

Do whatever you want. As long as you’re keeping up with your classes and your happy with how things are going, it really doesn’t matter. It’s not like you need permission.

So long as you’re not doing it every weekend it’s no big deal. Go home, enjoy your break, make sure you won’t miss anything important in class. Considering you’re travelling 6 hours to get there, it makes sense to stay a few days.

Agreed, if it’s just a one-time thing then it’s fine. Enjoy your break!

No, nothing wrong with what you want to do. Enjoy!

I personally wouldn’t, but as long as you make sure you’re up to speed on the material from the missed classes, it should be fine.
