Is Cornell a good school?

Where did the OP go? He hasn't been back since his original post!

is anyone from Cornell and attending it right now?

I'll be a soph in the fall...but I'm on summer break "right now"

I'll be a sophomore in the fall, carlos. It's currently summer break.

I'll be a sophomore in the fall, as well.

ditto for me, too.

I'll be a sophomore in a year's time. :p

with the way my credits line up, i'll be a 2nd semester junior

fall sophomore.

I'll be transfering as a Junior to the College of Human Ecology. as Cornell Bears what advise do all of you have to give to a kid from California?

Warm clothes

"Is Cornell a good school?"

If you have to ask, then something is wrong with it.

meet other kids from the west coast. they're far and away the coolest.

in other news: a upenn troll! this could be fun but I'd rather it was short. there is an implied "why" before the title of this thread and virtually everyone understands that. thanks for your input though, newedition.

"Is Cornell a good school?"

ROFLMAO!!!

As an alum, Cornell was an awesome school.

"Is Cornell a good school?" I'm originally from NY where most people know Cornell but you'd be surprised out here in LA, people only know about west coast schools. (UCLA, Berkeley, Stanford, etc.) You don't know how many times I've heard where's Cornell..anyways shameless plug...

i am just wondering, does anyone take the train from their home to syracuse, and then drive to ithaca (rental car)

I fly to Syracuse and then take Ithaca Airline Limo, which is ~$60 one way and ~$95 round trip. Unless you're 26 or you're going to travel with your parents every time you go to or from school, good luck renting a car.

living on campus, is it a good idea to take a car to Ithaca (cornell univ)? or should i just bring a bike? what did you guys do?

Haha...I find it funny that all of Spydey's posts have been edited away..

I find having access to a car very useful because it can sometimes be a pain to drag a lot of stuff from place to place on the bus (i.e. groceries). But all you need is access i.e. a friend who has a car ;).

a car is useful at cornell, but not at all necessary. On the rare occasions you need it (to go to wegmans, or pyramid mall if you don't want to bus it) you can carpool with/borrow from a friend who has a car.

However, if everyone lived by the adage of "whenever you need it you can borrow your friend's," people would paradoxically find having one's own car much more necessary, as nobody would have one. ;)
