Is Cornell a good school?

I have just been admitied to Cornell and i have to know if i am making a wise choice in going to this school? I need some advise people...

it is an excellent school.

what would you define as good school?

national prestige and recognition? Cornell has it

international prestige and recognition? again, has it

diverse student body? yep

brilliant student body? you bet!

driven student body? among the best

diverse course offerings? an astounding number

incredible professors? of course, this is Cornell

great campus? given

great food? among the top few in the US

big social scene? 20,000 students can't be wrong

athletic scene? ivy league sports!

Cornell isn't just a good school, it's among the top few in the world. This has been shown numerous times with consistent top rankings in various newspapers and magazines from places all over the world. You'd be passing up a tremendous opportunity by deciding not to enroll.

how did you apply to cornell not knowing that it was a good school? lol...

It's an amazing school. You're lucky to have been admitted to such a prestigious university.

Were you a waitlistee or something? What are your other options...?

and yes, Cornell is AMAZING

someone who can't figure out that an ivy league, USNews top 15 university is a good school probably didn't get in guys...

Carlos, the education you will get is superb and a degree from Cornell is very highly respected. Your question is very broad, so I'm wondering if you have specific concerns or questions about the prospect of attending Cornell?

Is this thread serious?

I congratulate you for your skepticism... the people here are unwilling to mention the fact that Cornell is a huge school, and one easily loses himself in the mass of students... that TIME just wrote an article about a student who seeked medical counseling for depression, only to have been kicked out weeks later... AND, that the WSJ rated it as a horrible feeder school for top professional schools... something like 25... behind all the ivy+ schools( ivies plus MIT, Stanford, and Chicago)

I'd look at your other choices

Where are you going, felipe?

Wow can u go somewhere else to bash schools...

ps...Cornell is ranked higher then UChicago...lol

It wasn't on the rankings felipe is talking about.

Carlos, just wondering, what major will you be?

felipecocco needs a swirlie, NOW!!!!!!

I know but I burnnnnned him lol :)

ok im not even going to answer

i love how there's a lot of ad hominem yet no one argues my contentions

Yes, Cornell is a large school and that is a plus for many many kids. One benefit is that any type of kid can find his or her academic and social niche there.
