Is Cornell a good school?

I dunno, as a freshman I didnt think a car was at all necessary; i didnt go off campus and when I did the bus system ran pretty well. However, after a year of having a car on campus, I think it's best to say that if you can afford the luxury of having a car, by all means bring it. Its going to save you a lot of time: you wont have to plan off-campus excursions on someone else's schedule. Also it opens up your schedule a lot more; if you want to go to teagle at night to lift or need to drop off a paper on campus, the round trip is 5 minutes instead of half an hour. If you can afford to save yourself that kind of inconvenience, i don't see any reason to pass it up.

I'm just wondering where would U.S. News rank Cornell if it wasn't in an
Ivy League.

Probably with the likes of most second tier state schools since Cornell would lose its current "yes" standing on the "Is this college in the Ivy League" column of US news and world reports. That column alone gives Cornell a tremendous boost.

Gomestar -- Who are you kidding?

No way in hell Cornell is above a third tier state school.

^I'm fairly sure it was sarcasm cayuga, since us news doesn't have a is this college in the ivy league collumn

^ You fail at sarcasm more :X

Wow. You kids are dense.

Prism, read Cayuga's post again.

This thread is funny. Is Cornell a good school? What an obvious question. Please. I used Cornell as a safety when I was apply to a local community college.

ah I misread my bad

Cornell is the only Ivy League with a degree in food science! Therefore I want to go there the most.

and apparel design!

Again, people are reviving old threads.

oh, quiet you, Mr. 117 posts…

Who is Mr. 117?

^^^^hahahahahahaha

Cornell academics is hard as hell. If you’re going for 4.0 in a preprofessional program go to a state college. NOT here.

And Cornell’s like the only Ivy League school that actually boasts that it’s IN the Ivy League… Is the university really that desperate? I don’t see Harvard, Yale, Princeton or any other Ivy League school doing this.

I also don’t see Harvard, Yale, or Princeton calling you a ■■■■■■. But hey, I just did? ■■■■■■

lmao 10char

Orly? Because I just got a mailing from Princeton (the P in HYP, son) that was totally all like “WEZ IN DA IVY LEAGUE, BOYYYYYY” so, um, yes…they ALL do it. And Penn just sent me a OH SO VERY SPECIAL INVITATION TO APPLY (with application fee info enclosed, of course) bragging about the benefits of their distinguished “IVY LEAGUE EDUCATION”. Boom, roasted.
