Are there any more available after the first year to apply for? Or do you not get any more scholarships even if you get some in the first year?
Current Duke freshman may apply for the Robertson Scholarship (in addition to those given to regular applicants), but as with all Duke Merit Scholarships these are extremely selective and difficult to obtain.
To answer your second question, if you’re thinking about the AB, BN, Robertson, Rubenstein etc., you do not get any more scholarships if you’ve gotten one of those. You can always apply to outside merit scholarships during your years at Duke.
Check each scholarship. AB, BN, and Rubenstein are full rides plus. Don’t know about the others.
You can apply to Robertson on second year, if you are already a freshman in Duke . No idea how many spots.
