i didn't get much money for emerson and will have to get a student loan for at least 25-30K per year...i was wondering if the money was worth it. i want to be a magazine publisher so i was planning on doubling in journalism and publishing. but should i just go to RU,(where i know i will be unhappy but will save tons of money), or BU(i got accepted GSP though-worried about wasting my time-but think that the alum may be much stronger in helping me with a job in journalism). what should i do?????

Okay, let's be rational for a moment. Cross RU off the list, since you yourself said you would "be unhappy."

So, you're left with Emerson College and Boston University. What kind of aid / scholarships did BU offer?

practically nothing!!! i would need at least a 30-35K loan!

Of those two I would guess Emerson as Emerson will give you more chance for hands on work while in college and thus perhaps more job possibilities later easier (paying off loans). Emerson has the technology and more direct in depth approach. You have to be dead certain you want to do what you say though as Emerson is a direct focus school.

You seem pretty focused, and Emerson is cheaper than BU. I would go with Emerson (I am, however, biased).
