Is FBLA significant in college applications?

I joined this year as a junior, and got 8th place Regionals in Business Calculations. That didn't qualify me to go to State, but I was entered by my advisor as an alternate or wild card, etc. So I went to State for Business Calculations, and did the Networking Concepts event too, and I didn't place in those :/
There aren't many returning kids in my school interested in the club, so I'm probably going to become an officer my senior year. When the time comes, is it worth mentioning on my college resume that I attended Regionals and State, and that I'm an officer?

Yes it is worth mentioning. I’m mentioning BPA, especially since I’m going to Nationals. Whether it is significant or not depends on the school. If you’re applying to a business school like Wharton or Stern it definitely boosts your profile. If you are applying to a liberal arts school then it will just look like another EC.
