Is Fordham a fun school to be at or is the environment very strict. Also will it matter if I'm not Christian? Just wondering if the school has some party/nightlife to it.

I’m Hindu actually and I don’t find any of the Jesuit values shoved down my throat or anything. They do not discriminate at all in admission based on religion! I don’t feel out of place at all because I am not Catholic, which is really nice, since everyone at Fordham is really accepting and understanding of diversity. It’s not really that strict at all, though guests need to have a pass if they’re staying past 3:30am and to bring an opposite sex guest, you need someone of the opposite sex to sign to host them. That’s the only strictness to it, and drinking in buildings can generally have consequences, but as long as you conduct yourself in a way that you’re respectful of everybody, you should be fine. It’s not THAT strict at all, and if you want to party, most people go off campus to avoid any rules that exist (I personally don’t drink, but I know many who do). It’s NYC, and there is a decently heavy nightlife/party scene, but it’s a great city and do take advantage of the other opportunities and fun things in the city besides the nightlife that very few schools offer (different kinds of dance, music, arts, theatre, Broadway, shopping maybe, restaurants, etc).
