<p>My younger son is a junior in a v. good NY HS. He's got a 93 UW and a 96 weighted average with all AP and honors. His SATs for math and verbal are in the mid 1300s. Is Geneseo a sure thing? Is it the kind of school that cares if they think you are using it as a safety?</p>
<p>Geneseo is in the process of becoming an honors college, meaning standards are getting higher, so admission for anyone is no longer a sure thing, but he has a very good chance of getting in with his stats. I have heard of people getting into Cornell and not Geneseo. Geneseo also does not care if you use it as a safety.</p>
