is georgetown need blind?

^^^ what the title says

Yes, in the sense that admissions and financial aid are kept completely separate.

would it help my admission chances if i didn't apply for financial aid?

I personally don't think so...

My advice is to focus more on your application (essays etc) than worry about whether not applying for financial aid will give you an advantage...

NO. try not to apply for financial aid. georgetown has a low endowment and does not want to use it unless you are particularly great academically and athletically.

Because the admissions and financial aid officers are kept separate, there is no way for admissions officers to be biased against you (or in your favor) on the basis of you applying for financial aid.

Definitely apply for financial aid. Contrary to what college1762 said, I got almost a full ride without being too special (in my opinion).

i don't think georgetown tells the whole truth. your chances are signigicantly increased if you don't apply for aid. i did not apply for aid and was accepted, but two of my friends were denied and they were smarter than me.

You can possibly predict what the admissions process was like... there could have been numerous other factors for your two friends...

and smart is subjective... give yourself more credit

Speaking as someone who works in the GU admissions office, albeit in a small role, I can unequivocally say that applying for financial aid has zero effect on how your application is reviewed. Those two elements are, by design, kept completely separate.
