I was really bored and browsed through some of GMAT's sample questions. I was really surprised to find the questions to be that simple. I mean, imo most of those questions are even easier than the ones on the SAT. I am aware that the median score isn't particularly high so I am wondering if the sample questions are just the easiest ones of the bunch or is there an alternative explanation?

They are easier.

I would spend a few months studying for it.

What is the median score? I haven't checked for awhile.

As with any standardized test, the ease of the test is irrelevant. What matters is the competition you are going against.

Thats what I don't get. Considering the ease of the test and the qualification of those who took it, the score just doesn't add up....(the average test taker only answers around half of the questions right)

Median is at 540 btw...

Just get around ~700.

If you think it's so easy then give it a shot and see how you do. You'll probably find out that it isn't as easy as you thought.

The real exam will get harder as you answer more questions correct. The practice exams generally do not.

yeah, it's a real joke- in fact dont even bothr studying for it. You can estimate your score by cutting your SAT score in half and adding ~20 points.

^Ironically, that formula exactly works in my case, although it was before the days of the SAT recentering.

yes, it's a joke: if yours is too low b-school admission officers end up laughing about it...
