Is hate to love a good topic for my essay?

I was thinking of writing about how I used to hate being Indian. I want to describe how I used to hate it but as the years passed on I grew to accept it and even like it. Do you guys think this is a good topic?

Writing about ethnicity isn’t an incredibly unique topic. If you can write it in a unique and powerful way, revealing many details about yourself, then it is a good topic.

Was there one event that changed your view? Maybe focus specifically on that event rather than a general change in mindset.

Strong negativity doesn’t usually go down well in an essay on a topic like this, even if it was a changing or progressive sentiment. I wouldn’t write about that specifically, and ethnicity isn’t all that unique a topic (especially for Asian students!).
