Is Honors Housing Guaranteed?

I know that if I get accepted (fingers crossed) then I will automatically be accepted into the Honors Program (NMSF); but does that automatically guarantee me on-campus housing in Hume? I applied super late using the Merit App, so I haven't even gotten a chance to fill out the Housing application, which makes me doubt I'll get a great room (if any) unless Hume guarantees housing for Honors Program students.

Thanks!

No. When I attended two different information sessions they made it very clear that the only way to get into Hume was to (a) get into the Honors College (duh!) and (b) submit your housing application as early as possible.

You’ll probably want to go ahead and get your housing in ASAP.

Crap. Thanks for the info, though. What would you say my chances are for getting Hume, or any on-campus housing?

If you advance to National Merit Finalist or Scholar and name UF as your first choice… in addition to the UF NM financial scholarship, you are offered the following:

1) Priority choice to live in Hume Hall.

2) Priority/Early Registration for all regular classes (every semester except Preview registration). For honors classes, you would register early along with other honors students.
