Honors Program Question

Not sure if anybody really knows the answer to this one, but...
When you're invitied to apply for the honors program, I understand that doesn't mean you're guaranteed a spot. Do they decide who gets in on a first-come first-serve basis? Also, are most people who are qualified accepted? Anyone know a percentage?

Thanks,
Kaitlin

i haven't heard of anyone not getting a spot...even people that sent in the application past the due date got in

I talked to an admissions rep a few days ago, and he said that everybody with a 1400 and a 4.0 or above got into honors. Also, you could just be a national merit finalist and get in.

Does being accepted into Honors also mean that you are guaranteed Honors housing in Hume Hall, or does that depend on your Housing Priority Date?

Pretty sure that depends on housing priority date, but I think almost everyone gets in to Hume.

not neccessarily true, from what ive heard, many honors students dont get into hume and its gets full pretty fast. if you dont get in though, you can put ur name on the waiting list and there are usually people who drop out before the start of the semester.

Hmm, hopefully I'll get in there, I have a housing priority date of July 12th...
