Does Howard offer good merit based aid for my stats? Is it reasonable that I’d be accepted there? Is it good for pre-med students? Thanks
You absolutely have to apply early for Howard. They will have limited $ and you have a good chance at merit $. Things have changed since last year for Howard so be the early bird. Yes it’s reasonable that you’d be accepted.
Last year, your stats would have gotten an automatic merit scholarship of $3,500 - $32,231 if you applied early enough (first come first served Capstone scholarship). However, the list of scholarships at the bottom of https://www2.howard.edu/student-financial-services/cost-of-attendance (where it says “Freshman Scholarships”) has been removed; keep watching that space to see if they put a revised list there.
For last year’s criteria, a 3.50 HS GPA and 32 ACT or 1450 SAT would have gotten a full ride (Founder’s Scholarship) for those who applied early enough. But there is no guarantee that the scholarships and criteria will be the same this year, so keep watching their web pages. But another ACT point or a few more SAT points may be quite valuable on the scholarship front.
If you are interested, you may as well apply as early as possible, in case of first come first served awarding of scholarships as has historically been the case there.
Do you know if they superscore? I would have a 32 superscored.
You have to ask them directly to find out whether they super score (and ask specifically for both admission and scholarships, in case they super score for one but not the other). While you are asking, you may as well ask when their scholarship list will be put back up.

You seem unaware of the college process, PM me if you have questions or think you need guidance.
Howard would be a safety…
If you are black/AA which I assume you are, you have top 30 stats.
