is IGETC required for UCSB college of letters and sciences

Hello, I’ve been accepted to UCSB under college of letters and sciences.

My only concern is I will be partial IGETC certified & is this going to cause any damage to my admissions?
the only courses I haven’t taken is my 2 foreign language but everything else is completed.

any information is appreciated! thank you.

You should be good as long as you finished the pre reqs listed at the link below. It specifically states that you do not need to have IGETC completed at the bottom and does not mention Foreign Language as a pre req

@enpz45 Thank you very much for the information! it was helpful.

I heard that if I was partial certified for the IGETC, I would have to take additional GE courses at UCSB after I transfer. Do you or anyone happen to know which GE’s are required to be taken?

I don’t know anyone personally who did not complete IGETC. At UCSB, you’ll have to complete their GE requirement that they have since you did not complete IGETC. I’m sure most of the coursework transfers over. Check this out for more info http://admissions.sa.ucsb.edu/applying/transfer/igetc

@enpz45 Thank you for your links.

If anyone has any additional information it would be greatly appreciated!
