I think it is especially if they still focus on managerial accounting.

Most people can make use of an accounting class or two, especially business students.

I heard this class is extremely hard

Is it harder than Calc 1, Calc 2, and Calc 3?

It’s probably going to be financial accounting, not managerial accounting. I found the class enlightening. It is a great supplement to any business education.

I don’t think that it is on the level of Calc 1 although it is not a poor comparison to make. In intro to accounting you will have to learn an entirely new language (i.e. accounting) just as you had to learn a new language in calculus. The ideas are not that difficult, you just need to devote a good amount of time to studying them.

Precalculus was about as much math I could handle and I felt like I could handle more accounting after Intro to ACCT.

I thought it was. I learned more about stocks in that class than I had all my life, especially during the financial ratio project, something I bet most programs make you do.
