<p>I'm not an accounting major, nor have I ever taken any accounting classes, but I want to take this course since I think it's a good thing to have some foundation in. But is it intended for people with no prior accounting classes? Or will they expect me to have some background knowledge?</p>

<p>The foundation class for Accounting with credit and debit, journal entries and an understanding of the financial statements like the balance sheet, income statement and trial balance. I think what you want to do is very smart so go for it!!</p>
