Is it bad not to take a science my senior year?

I'm a junior in high school and is currently taking environmental science but I'm not sure if I want to take a science next year. Will it affect my chances of getting into a good college?

no, it won’t but you should make sure your schedule includes rigorous courses from other subjects to make up for dropping this academic subject.

Well I’m currently taking AP us history and AP English language. And next year I’m going to be taking AP english literature, AP government and AP psychology

Check the schools you’re interested in and see how many science classes they want - 3 years with 2 labs, 4 years with 3 labs, etc. As long as you reach their minimum and replace science with another academic class you should be ok.

^ I second what tellch00 said.
and that seems fine.

not only is it bad, it is downright evil, morally repugnant, and despicable. JK

PS Environmental Science is not real science.

However, if you’re not intending to major in a science in college, it won’t matter.

Aha well I hate science so I don’t plan on doing anything science relate with my life :p

If you are totally decided of what you want to major in, it won’t be that bad. Yet, if you are not sure, consider having a multifarious academic background to enable more opportunities in the future.

It depends on the selectivity of the schools you will be applying for, and what they ask for. If you are applying to very selective schools, e.g. Top 50 in USNWR, not having 4 years of science including Bio, Chem, and Physics will hurt you. Below that, it probably won’t matter much, as long as you meet the requirements, both for number of years of science and of lab science.
