Or should I take them separately? I know I don't have to take both of them at once, but I was wondering what the benefits of taking them separately/concurrently, what's easier to do, whether I'd still be on track to take Bio 1A and 1B, etc.

Any thoughts/insight?

It’s just a little more work in the semester when you take lab with lecture. 3al is pretty straightforward and easy (3bl is when it starts to get a little more frustrating, but still fairly easy if you have a lenient gsi). you’ll still be on track to take bio1a because you only need 3a lecture for that class iirc and 1b you can take anytime so it’s up to you (and whether you can get in)

My personal view is just to get it all over with. 3A, 3AL, etc. At least there’s some sort of link between them (they share GSIs). If you take 3AL after, it may make you even more annoyed because it’s one of those have-to courses that you just stick in your schedule, but it doesn’t fit anywhere. I don’t know how to explain it. Heh.

well the fact that it’s four hours long means it’s going to be a assbutt to your sched anyway.

yeah the four hours is really annoying… I bring snacks to last through it.
