Is it boring attending a Commuter Campus?

I got accepted to csulb (Cal state Long Beach), And this may be my only choice. Am I going to lose out because it is a commuter campus?

If it’s your only choice it doesn’t much matter. Either way, the biggest issue is that you have to be much more proactive in keeping involved, since a lot of the people around you are going to go home and do their own thing. Will you be living on campus? I imagine it wouldn’t be that bad then, since at least most of the people in your dorm will be in the same situation as you.

It’s not a good thing, but it isn’t a death sentence on your social life either.

I’m thinking about living on campus if it ends up being my only choice. Do you think this will be better even though I only live like 25 min away. I just really don’t want to stay home and is it easy to make friends in class? I know in high school it is. Also csulb is now making it mandatory for freshman to live on campus, will this make residential life better? (even though anyone can opt out by proving they’ll live with their parents)

i live 30 min from my college. i live on campus at a commuter school. life is good.
