Is it common courtesy to reply to an email from an admissions couselor?

<p>For example, when I email a question and then get a reply, is it courteous to reply with a simple thank you email?</p>

<p>I'd do it, but then again I'd hate to fill in their already overflowing email inboxes with something not very important . . .</p>
