Is it detrimental for me to use a 2006 Princeton Review Prep book?

I have it because my older sister never really used it or studied for the SAT at all.
I just want around a 1800-1900 to get into UC Davis and I got a 176 on my sophomore PSAT.

Imo, 2006 is a bit obsolete, 5 years ago I bet PR must has changed the whole lot.

My recommendation is that you should go and buy CB’s Blue book, it has 10 official SAT practice tests and there are explanations online as well, which should be far more than enough for you to score 1800-1900. Good luck

P/s: I only use the Blue Book and my score is already 2000+ in just 1 week.

Since early 2005, the SAT has stayed fundamentally the same so using a prep book from 2006 would have virtually the same effect as studying from a 2011 book.

^Although I agree with you since College Board hasn’t announced any major updates, or any updates for that matter? I found when I took old QAS say from 2005 or 2006 they had a different feel to them. Especially the way some of the Critical Reading questions were presented.
