is it enough?

my high school grades and SAT scores were mediocre, and as a result, i did not get accepted to any of my top choice schools and didn't even bother to apply to some of them.

i completed a semester at Hofstra University with a 3.85 GPA and as of now i will be getting about a 3.8 GPA for my summer courses at UCLA (unless i seriously screw up on my finals!)

i have 33 college credits, which means i don't have to submit my high school transcript when applying to colleges (the minimum is 30). what a relief!

anyhow, with my 33 credits and my average GPA of 3.825, what are my chances of getting into:

-Boston College (i am a legacy here)

-Boston University (i am a legacy here as well)

-Dartmouth College

-Cornell

-Brown

also, how important are EC's for transfer students? my list of EC's while in college is very extensive.

thanks in advance.

I don't know for sure, but I think you have to submit your hs transcript at all those schools, and it will be evaluated for admission.

That said, you stand a good chance at Boston University. The rest are much more difficult to transfer into, so I can't elaborate on your chances.

im guessing your parents met in college?

they'll all see your high school record and it will play a part in whether or not you get accepted. The best thing to do is to stay until the end of your sophmore year, at least then the HS record will not matter as much.

thanks for the advice. no, my father went to BC as an undergrad and BU for law school.
