Hi everyone. I am doing A levels right now and I will be applying to US universities with my forecast results by the end of this year. I will be taking my ACT, SAT subject tests and TOEFL soon. Suppose that I didn't get into my target schools and I wish to re apply as a freshman again next year using my real A level results, do I have to retake my ACT/SAT subjects tests again simply because they are one year old?

I apologize if this question has been asked before, your response is much appreciated.

No you shouldn’t have to retake them.

Also you know that the TOEFL is only for people who haven’t been taught in an English speaking school or who’s English isn’t there first language.

Each college and university sets its own policy about the TOEFL. It can be surprising who has (or doesn’t have) to take it. Intermission needs to check the websites of the institutions on his/her application list to find out whether or not any of those will require the TOEFL, IELTS, or another English proficiency exam.

The TOEFL score has an expiration date, but any score you earn now should be valid for the time range you are looking at. The ACT, SAT, and subject test scores don’t have that kind of expiration date, but some colleges and universities require that the scores be from exams within a certain number of years. However if you take them this year (2013) and apply for admission for fall of 2014, there won’t be any problem. If you were to wait to apply until 2015 or 2016, some institutions might ask for a re-take.
