Is it possibe to jump from 2030 to 2300+ within 5 months?

I need to know if I can improve from a score of about 2030 to 2300 for october SAT! Thank you!

Yes. Do a lot of practice.

Defffffffffinitely.

It’s my personal belief that anyone that can score above a 2000, can score a 2400. Maybe that’s over-ambitious but shrug. Once you’re scoring at least a 650 in each subject, the technique/test-taking skills that you apply to the test don’t change, it’s a matter of focus, approaching questions in a new way, etc. Plus, the material itself is fairly easy, just TRICKY. The difference between an “easy” question on the SAT and a “hard” one is not astronomical.

So even if you can’t get that elusive 2400, anywhere from 2200-2350 is totally within practical reach, and will make a difference in the long run.

The best thing to do is keep doing practice tests because the more you expose yourself to all the different types of Q’s on the test, the better prepared you’ll be (as if I even need to say this). If you’re especially weak in one area, focus on that for a few weeks at a time, move on to something else, then something else, then repeat.

yes it is.

I did.

Went from 2030-2290 with 5 wks of studying

@ hannahbanana94, Oh wow that’s great! How did you do it? What books did you use?

@ Carrotdumplings and @ annoyingaakash12- thanks for the advice!

@ SelfIndulgent Thank you for taking the time to write that, you have given me hope! As soon as my AP exams are over, I will study so much for the SAT!

I did. First time in December, I got a 2060. On my third try in March, I got a 2370. I just took A LOT of tests (only the official ones) and I took a lot of math tests (blue book, princeton review, and kaplan) because that was my weak spot.

I got a 205 on my PSAT, studied intensively for about one month, and got a 2320. So it is possible, definitely.

204 on PSAT in October, 2230 SAT in March, expecting 2300+ in May. Good luck :)

This thread gives a 2050 hope! :)
