Is it possible for me to be accepted to UT Austin?

Ok so I go to a 5A school in San Antonio, Texas (MacArthur H.S.-GO BRAHMAS!) and I am a senior this year. I just applied to The University of Texas at Austin and I am just way too anxious to wait for my acceptance(or rejection) letter. I talked to my counselor and she said there is a good possibility that I will get accepted. I have a 99.98 GPA, which is about a 4.0 I believe, and my class rank is 92/621, that's not top 8% or even top 10% but it's top 15%. I have never failed a class and I get mostly A's with a few B's every now and then. My senior class is extremely competitive so most students at the top of our class have about the same GPA, it just depends who is in more AP courses. I've taken Pre-AP/AP courses ever since the 7th grade and this year I am in 6 AP courses. My SAT score was not good at all, I got a 1590. I have an older sister who attends the university and I know that is a huge factor to a lot of universities. I also have a lot of community service hours; I was in PALs my junior year and I am a member of NHS.

Do you think I actually have a chance of being accepted?
I highly doubt I do but I mean, it doesn't hurt to try!

Thank you:)

Unfortunately Class Rank and Rigor are weighted most in admissions with SATs important. Neither GPA nor alumni are considered. http://www.utexas.edu/academic/ima/sites/default/files/CDS_UT_Austin2009-10%20(Final).pdf</a> It’s extremely doubtful you’ll make it into UT but there are other very good schools in TX.

Ahh thank you for your honesty! I agree, I’m 99.9% sure I won’t be accepted. But I still submitted my application. Do you think I will be offered the CAP program?
