I had several copies of my teacher recommendation but came up short handed. I sent at least 1 teacher recommendation before the deadline for each of the schools I applied to with a deadline at Jan. 1. Is it possible for me to send my other one a little later? My school doesnt start until tuesday. The earliest I can send them is probably thursday or friday, depending on how fast my teacher does it. If anyone has called these colleges about teacher recs please tell me. Im going to list all the colleges I applied to with deadline 1/1.

ya, as long as you have your application sent in by 1/1 you should be able to turn in the other information. it's the same way when someone turns in their application and forget something, it will just say not received or missing. so i think you should be able to, but do it as fast as you can.

Email the school and ask them. But I think you should submit the letters anyway if the schools REQUIRE them. Just submit to meet all their requirements. I think schools in general maybe quite flexible with regard to LOR, since applicants are not in total control of them.

relax -- there's not a mailroom troll that sorts out every applicant letter with post jan 1 postmarks and tosses them into the shredder while deleting your remaining application materials. Believe it or not, they WANT to read your file and find a way to admit you.
