Don’t worry, it is definitely possible! =) MIT is one of the few universities in the US that are both need-blind and meet full demonstrated financial need for both U.S. and international students. MIT also offers application fee waivers for when the application fee presents a hardship for you and your family so that you don’t have to pay the $75 application fee.
If my memory serves me correctly, they also offer fee waivers for all of the additional portfolios (and research supplement) - but in either case I think that you have to email MIT a couple days prior to the deadline in order to be eligible.
MIT also accepts fee waivers from other sources, such as the College Board (including SAT fee waivers), the ACT, and NACAC, among others.
