Is it possible to get rejected after you get accepted?

I noticed that many people worry abot a couple of bad grades after being admitted, but can they change their mind after a few months anyway?

Yeah, they can.

Do they tend to do it though? What's a reasonable threshold of slackness one can achieve after getting accepted, before they rethink his/her admission? I mean, would they reject you if you have a couple of B's or even C's at the end of the year?

B's are okay. I'd be wary of C's.

One C (and any A's and a B or two fine). A couple C's and no A's, then we have a problem.

I haven't really heard of anyone who's been rejected other than the typical "my mom's friend's second-cousin's twice-removed brother got rejected b/c of bad grades" story.

They are looking to see if an A and B student suddenly drops to a C and failing student. And since only semester grades show up on transcripts (at least on my school's), a C for a grading period (6 or 9 weeks) shouldn't even be visible to the Admissions Office.
