Is it possible to raise my GPA up to 4.55?

So I am aware of the top 7% law (may change as I will be graduating in 2015) auto admit for texas public colleges.

My current GPA is 3.6, weighted it is 3.7

I am thinking about transferring to a public school and their GPA's are relatively high - 4.55-4.8# being the top ten graduates. There is around eh, 600-700 kids in each grade so let's say I want to be top 5-6% just in case, I would have to be at least in the top 30-35 (number of kids)

I've taken a total of 14.5 credits so far in my freshmen and sophomore year (took 2 honors in freshmen
and I've taken 8 classes total? Something happened in freshmen so I transferred out into another school (which is why I have half a credit, my new school did not have bible class so I was left with half a credit)

I'm not sure how many classes I'll be taking next year? obviously 4 core, and maybe 3 electives (could be 4, but I'm saying 3 just to be safe)

I plan on taking ap classes probably in english and maaaybe history? Math and science are my weakest subjects - it takes me a while to understand.

So with 2 ap classes, is it possible to raise my gpa up to 4.5? In ONE year, as I am an incoming junior.
Also, this public school has trimesters instead of semesters - not sure if that really matters, but yeah. At my private school we had semesters.

What is the possible highest gpa I could get? With 7 classes, 2 being ap. And having a 3.7 weighted cumulative gpa.

And I know the law states that it is the rank at the end of junior year that counts. So if I applied after the first trimester in senior year, that wouldn't count? (Let's say I wasn't the top 5-6% but in senior year I was)

Also, perhaps I am underestimating how hard it is to get excellent grades as it's been a couple of years since I've gone to a school that's remotely "difficult"

Alsooo, I was wondering is it your cumulative gpa by the end of junior year, or your gpa in junior year alone? (for the whole, rank/ auto admit thing)

It would depend on the weight of an ap class.

Sorry, but I don’t think that’s possible. The most standard weight for Ap classes is .05 per semester, or .1 for a full year. Honors are .025 also. I’m sorry, I’m not sure if that helped, but maybe acing all your courses and taking more AP’s and honors?
